OUR STRATEGY
A strategy for implementing “take a child from slums on a tour” initiatives include the following steps:
- Identify target communities: The first step is to identify the specific slum communities that the initiative will target. This can be done by working with local organizations and community leaders to identify areas where children are living in poverty and may not have access to educational or cultural opportunities.
- Recruitment and screening of children: Once target communities have been identified, the next step is to recruit and screen children who will participate in the tours. This can be done by working with local schools and community organizations to identify children who would benefit from the experience. The screening process should consider factors such as the child’s interest and ability to participate, as well as any special needs or considerations.
- Planning and organizing tours: Once children have been selected, the next step is to plan and organize tours that will take them to various educational and cultural destinations. These can include museums, zoos, historical sites, and other places of interest. It’s important to consider the age and interests of the children when planning the tours.
- Provide support services: Along with the tour, we provide support services such as mentorship, educational and life skill development programs, and other support services to help children succeed in the long-term. This can include providing access to educational resources, counseling, and other support services that can help children to succeed in school and in life.
- Evaluation and monitoring: Finally, it’s important to evaluate and monitor the success of the initiative by tracking the children’s participation, engagement, and progress over time.
- This include collecting feedback from children, parents, and other stakeholders, as well as tracking changes in the children’s academic and social development.
- Sustainability: In order for the initiative to have a lasting impact, WE find ways to make it sustainable over time. This involve seeking funding from donors, sponsors, or government agencies, or developing partnerships with other organizations to provide ongoing support.
